The wedding

Well, a big event has occurred in the Leslie clan. About two years ago I introduced my brother, Chris, to a friend that I have known for over 15 years. Anneke and I originally met when we worked together at the VG hospital in Halifax. We always kept in touch and then about two years ago, she visited Annette and I at our cottage, not long after my brother had visited. So, I put one and one together and decided to introduce them.

They took things from there, and since Chris was working in Labrador at the time, they met in St John’s, Newfoundland for a weekend. Two years later, they decided to come to Dubai and include me, as their benefactor and witness, in their wedding.

The wedding was wonderful. The pastor suggested a lovely spot on the beach, which we all agreed was indeed a spot worthy of a wedding.

While they were here we managed to squeeze in a visit to the Nad Al Sheba horse track and watch some rather large purse money be won. This is the site of the world’s richest race, which will take place in March.

Even the cats enjoyed the wedding.
