Well, we have sold just about everything we had for sale, including our lovely Chevy Lumina.
We got less than we wanted, but more than we expected, which I guess is normal. This is a bad time of year to be selling a car, as people who are leaving, as we are, tend to leave at the end of the school year, mainly because of their children. Also, summer is naturally the best time to move.
We have also said good-bye to Jill and Alan, who we met in Brunei and have been our friends for many years. They now live in Oman, and at one point also lived in Qatar and so we were able to see them many times over the years. They spent the weekend with us.
I have not landed a job yet, but am still optimistic that the NSCC will find a place for me. I expect my email to be bringing good news to me any day now.
