As part of our Europe tour 2015, which included my PhD defense in Brussels, we went to the Chablis region near Auxerre.

We rented a boat from LeBoat with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a spacious kitchen and dining area.

The tour started in Migennes …

… and then we went south.

The tour was fantastic. Going through the locks was an interesting activity:

and just cruising down the canals watching the countryside pass by …

…stopping wherever we wanted to eat and be merry…

… made the whole trip worthwhile.
