Tennessee – Part 2 – Nashville

In March, we were very excited to meet big brother Chris and Anneke in Nashville for a weekend of Nashville nights and days. We picked up Chris and Anneke from the Nashville airport and dropped our bags in our rented apartment near Broadway. Then we went out to see what trouble we could get into.

Checking out the Ryman Theater – original home of the Grand Ole Opry

As we cruised around the town checking out the sights and seeing what locales we wanted to investigate later, we found places such as …

Tootsies – a local favourite

… and came across some interesting wall art.

Painted buildings

We also discovered that an old favourite band of ours had an installation at the Nashville Museum of Music.

Stones do Nashville

We also discovered that we were not the only ones in town for a bit of Nashville lifestyle.

Nashville style

We then popped into a local establishment to get some nourishment …

The Acme Bar and Radio Station

… before heading out in the evening to make the rounds of the some of the more exciting establishments including …

The Stage

… and then on one grand night, the Ole Opry.

The Grand Ole Opry

On stage at the Opry

After a couple whirlwind nights and days of touring around and checking out the city, we stopped to check out some classic guitars and basses…

Gruhn Guitars

… and someone got a brand new set of bright red boots, just right for stomping to some music.

Just what you need to go dancing
