Christmas in Barbados

We moved to Barbados on December 14th, 2018. We spent the first couple weeks including Christmas day checking out our new home. It was a great relief to be able to have some little sense of permanence after moving around so many times in the last four years since we left Dubai.

The first thing we did was have a rum punch and chill out

As you can see in the map at the top, we live very close to this beach:

If you go for a nice long walk along this beach, you will be rewarded with some of the following sights.

On Christmas day, we thought it might be fun to go to the East Coast and watch the sunrise. Then, we realized it would not be very much fun at all, and so just drove over to the east coast once we got up.

Our first stop was Bathsheba Park and Beach.

We did a bit of driving up and down the coast and checked out some other beaches in the neighbourhood.

We also checked out a few fish fries and other restaurants. I guess you might call this authentic?

We wound up Christmas day with a sundowner at sundown.
