I am very pleased to let you know that our renovations have begun. We are removing and replacing the front porch, which will be insulated and so, although not integrated into the main house, should be useable for most of the year.

We have tried to keep the original look of the porch as much as possible. In these two pictures, you can see the top grate which all of the houses in the area seem to have in their windows.

On top of the porch, we are getting a new kitchen window and new stairs for the back deck. Those two items are not exciting enough to warrant a photo. Oh yeah, by the way for anyone who knows Bella the cat, she has been shaved and is now in full summer mode.
