This event is already noted on my portfolio but I thought it was worthy of inclusion here in case anyone did not see the portfolio. We went to Brussels to defend my PhD. The defense itself was on October 13th, 2015.

It all started with the end…

Then we all trucked on over to Brussels.

We did an early reconnaissance to find the locale and discovered that they were waiting for me.

On the day, I showed up prepared to talk my way into the PhD club.

I had a few familiar faces in the crowd to support and cheer me on.

After two hours of rather grueling questions and answers, we waited for the judgement.

Finally, I was successful.
